Studio CCMA Instructors teach in public schools during school hours, and as after school elective managers.  Private lessons in PIANO- GUITAR- VOICE-BASS guitar-VIOLIN,  DRUMS and ROCK BANDdocents.  All our instructors are "Livescanned" and have certification, music or teaching degree's, and or vetted professional teaching and playing experience as session and union players.

The first step- is a simple " meet n greet".  No sign up or commitment.  Our first goal to is to make sure you connect with your teacher.  After you decide on an instructor, we can discuss a weekly time and day for 30-45 minute lessons.  *Monthly tuition starts from $95.00 a month. 
* Siblings,or second classes get a 15% discount. 
* There is a one time $20.00 registration fee. 
* There are NEVER extra costs for recitals or studio showcases
* Curriculum/books varies from instructor to instructor, but averages $25 every 4-6 months
* Lessons are scheduled monthly, and tuition is paid the first week of the month.  Monthly commitment helps schedules, thank you.
* make-ups MAY be arranged with notice to instructor. Simple "no shows" are not made up.
 *If an instructor is sick or ill, they may provide a substitute when time wont allow notice- or call for re- schedule when time allows.

Beth Vinas/ Sr. Piano Instructor, Events Coordinator

A classical pianist from UCI, Beth played in Orange County for Symphony, Opera, Ballet, Union recording sessions, Blues bands, rock bands and more.  Beth is studied in the National Merit curriculum and uses its standards for her beginning to advanced students, classical and contemporary players.  Most important, creating a love of music, and the confidence to play what you love!  A private and public school teacher for over 15 years.  Beth plays in working bands in San Diego as well- and is a full time band mate of GROOVE KITTY.  

Patrick McGuire / Sr Acoustic Guitar, Piano & Voice
Patrick has been teaching with Studio CCMA for 5 years, coming in with a credential from Cal Arts.  His experience spans from playing and touting with professional original bands to  performance in musical theatre,becoming an audition specialist, and music doecnt to studio musicians and players.  He is an ideal instructor for students who want to play an instrument and sing.  

John Pappas/ Sr Guitar Instructor
John E. Pappas is a professional guitarist and music instructor in Carlsbad, CA. He lists among his top inspirations Jimmy Page, Alex Lifeson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and David Gilmour. With over 20 years of stage and studio experience, and over 15 years teaching, John has a wealth of knowledge and ability to share with his students. John believes in teaching each student as an individual and caters his lesson plans toward the student's specific needs and interests. His primary objectives are to help them learn the fundamentals of good guitar playing and ultimately to play the music they want to play. John employs practical exercises and activities that keep realistic and attainable goals in mind. His lessons keep his students consistently motivated. His passion for music and enthusiasm for teaching show in the fun, safe, and friendly environment he provides.


Damon De La Paz/ - Sr. Drum - Percussion
 Damon is a tour de force when it comes to professional experience and musicianship.  An original member of TX, and a fill in drummer for Blink 182, Damon has a real understanding for what it takes to play in a working band, play cover and original music, and play at a top level.  His no nonsense approach and love for drums is infectious and inspiring for beginning to advanced players. 


Jon Braithwaite/ Drum & Percussion/  Piano
Jon is a talented pianist and drummer, with session, tour, and academic chops.  Jon is vetted at personalizing lesson plans for learning styles, visual- auditory or theory strengths are used to help players use all skills neccessary to playing solo or accompnaiment setting.  His experience working in the elementary and middle schools has made him a popular teacher with teens.

Scott McDowell/ Drum Percussion
Scott McDowell is an established professional musician and instructor here in North San Diego.  His professional playing with THUNDER-ROAD and other working bands have put him in high demand - and the success with students working their way towards playing with or refining their technique with bands, church or other group play have made Scott an exceptional, instructor and professional to work with.  From the basics, to advanced - Scott has the know how, and experience to get you where you want to be.
